A destination is a place your broadcast goes. When you go live, your phone sends one stream to MiniStream's servers, and they deliver a copy to every destination you selected. Your upload stays the same size whether you stream to one destination or ten.

link Two ways to add a destination

1. Connect with a platform (recommended)

For YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and others that support it, tap Connect with … and sign in. MiniStream fills in the server and key for you, and fetches a fresh one each time you go live, so there is nothing to copy and nothing to go stale. Connected destinations also unlock titles, chat and analytics for that platform.

2. Custom RTMP

Any service that gives you an RTMP server URL and a stream key can be a destination — including platforms that aren't in the list, your own media server, or a restreaming service.

  1. Open the Destinations tab and tap +.
  2. Search for your platform, or scroll to Custom RTMP at the end of the list.
  3. Paste the Server URL (it starts with rtmp:// or rtmps://).
  4. Give it a Name you'll recognise, then paste the Stream key.
  5. Tap Save destination.

Many platforms in the list already know their server address — pick the platform instead of Custom RTMP and you'll only need to paste the key. The hint under each platform says where to find it on their site.

key Finding your server URL and stream key

Look in the platform's creator or streaming dashboard, usually under a heading like Stream settings, Live, or Encoder setup. The key is the long private code; the server URL is the address beside it. If the platform shows a single combined URL, the part after the last / is normally the key.

Treat your stream key like a password. Anyone who has it can broadcast to your channel. If you think it has leaked, reset it on the platform and paste the new one into MiniStream.

lock rtmp:// or rtmps://?

rtmps:// is the encrypted version. Use it whenever the platform offers it. Plain rtmp:// still works for services that only support that.

forum Chat channel (optional)

For YouTube and Twitch destinations you can enter your channel name under Chat channel. MiniStream uses it to show that platform's live chat in your unified chat while you broadcast.

help_outline Common questions

I went live but the platform shows nothing

Almost always a wrong or expired key. Copy it again from the platform — some services issue a new key per broadcast — and make sure there are no spaces at either end.

"Can't delete yet"

A destination can't be removed while a scheduled stream or scheduled post still uses it. Delete or change those first.

"Sign-in expired" or a locked destination

For connected destinations, the platform needs you to sign in again, or has refused live access for that account. See Connected accounts.
